Poetry Study

Poetry study in a Charlotte Mason education is one of the feast subjects, a wide and varied curriculum that allows the student to be exposed to a range of music, art, poetry, literature, sciences, etc. One poet is studied during each term of the year (one year = three terms).

During this time the students become familiar with the poetry, learning a little about the poet’s life, but much more of the style of his writing and the emotion in his poetry. Each Poetry Study includes 11 weeks of lessons and one examination week.
