Composer Study
In a Charlotte Mason education, Composer Study offers children the gift of slow and meaningful exposure to great music. Over a 12-week term, students become familiar with one composer, listening regularly to selected works and learning to recognize their unique style, themes, and contributions.
Rather than formal analysis, the goal is to build a relationship with the music—to enjoy it, to notice patterns, to allow the composer’s voice to become familiar. With just a few minutes of focused listening each week, children develop a lifelong appreciation for beauty, creativity, and sound.
One composer, one term, one rich and living experience.
