Joseph Haydn
Joseph Haydn... composer, violinist, prankster.
Spend the term studying one of the most influential composers of all time. Born in Austria under the Hapsburg Empire, Haydn trained to be a choir master. He was soon hired as the court musician for the powerful Hungarian noble family, Esterhazy, and lived at their country estate. He was both friend to Mozart and tutor to Beethoven. He employed music in diplomacy and humor.
